– BJP President Nitin Gadkari will be meeting President and Prime Minister before the end of September to apprise the Manipur situation and urge them to take immediate action.

BJP’s NE India Sampark Cell convenor Sunil Deodhar disclosing this to media here on Tuesday said, Gadkari is concerned over the prevailing situation in Manipur in the aftermath of the on-going economic blockade.

“Nitinji is angry and asked me to take a report so that he could apprise the President and Prime Minister to tackle it immediately”, Deodhar, who was here for the compilation of BJP’s NE vision document as part of the India vision 2025 document.

Sadar Hills District Demand Committee has imposed an indefinite economic blockade on National Highways 39 and 53 demanding a separate district while UNC also imposed a counter blockade to register its opposition against “bifurcation” of Naga areas.

He expressed concern that an LPG cylinder costs Rs 2,000 in black. “The common people are suffering as the State is heading towards anarchy”, Deodhar observed. “The students are also suffering as examinations are coming up.

He appealed the people to submit suggestions to State unit office here for BJP’s NE vision document on how the people of Manipur wanted to see their State in the year 2025.

On Monday, BJP State unit submitted a memorandum to the President of India demanding imposition of President’s Rule in the State.
