Imphal, Sep 21 : People in Manipur are fed up with blasts, extortion, kidnappings and killings that have made it difficult for them to lead normal lives.
On Sep 11, unidentified miscreants triggered an explosion in Imphal that injured four members of Haji Abdul Gani's family, a retired teacher, who live in Kyamgei Muslim Mamang Leikai.
The grenade was hurled on the rooftop of Gani's residence around 11.30 p.m. while everyone was asleep.
The motive behind the attack is still not known and no group has taken the responsibility.
"We do not know why they triggered a blast in my house. We are innocent and have not done anything wrong. Neither do we know why this unfortunate incident happened. We stay here with our family. Till now we do not know who has done this," said Abdul Wahab, son of Haji Abdul Gani
"I am very scared. I can neither eat nor sleep. I don't know why this has happened. I am totally depressed as my grand daughter had a serious operation," said Fluwar Begum, wife of Haji Abdul Gani
People in Manipur want militants and other miscreants to shun violence as their activities cause a lot of pain and suffering to the residents of the region who want to live in peace and harmony.
