Its been more than a 100 days and the Centre has still not taken any action to fix the situation in Manipur. The healthcare sector has been adversely hit too by the economic blockade in the state. Medical supplies are running out in hospitals and there's even a dearth of oxygen cylinders in the state.
The people of Manipur are keeping count of the number of days it takes for the government to realise their unfortunate plight. Well aware that time is running out and with the crisis only deepening, by the time the government steps in the situation might have spiraled out of control.
The worst casualty of the economic crisis in the state is the healthcare sector. Hospitals in Manipur have suspended operations due to the lack of equipments and sufficient medicines. With each passing day, medical supplies are rapidly depleting, thereby increasing the woes of Manipuris.
However, the bigger picture is even more worrying. The aggrieved youth community of Manipur is desperately pleading for attention.
Is Manipur's misery being conveniently ifnore? Is the Centre watching all this?
