Manipur unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday joined hands with
the main regional political party Manipur People’s Party (MPP) to fight
the forthcoming assembly polls on January 28.
A spokesman of the MPP said his party joined hands with the MPP to defeat the Congress-led government.
BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javadekar and north-east election
in-charge Chanderasekhar Rao, who are camping in the state, said it was
now time to bring down the “corrupt” government of Congress-led secular
progressive front ministry in the state.
“The BJP Manipur unit and MPP desired to work together and fight the
Congress government to bring a government which would devote to the
development, welfare and communal integrity of the state,” said Mr.
Javadekar
