IMPHAL, Apr 4 – The annual plan size of Manipur for the financial year 2012-13 has been proposed at Rs 4,680 crores during a meeting of the Cabinet last evening, official sources said today.

Sources said the State Government would request the Planning Commission to approve the State Cabinet’s proposal.

Home Minister Gaikhangam said the meeting also discussed to implement the flagship programmes of the Centrally-sponsored schemes in a more effective manner. He told local media after the meeting last evening that the government would also release arrear-payments of employees of Manipur State Transport Corporation who could not get their payments in time soon.
