MPP vice-president shot dead in Manipur

Vice president of the Manipur People’s Party (MPP) Mani Sana was shot dead by some unidentified gunmen at Changangei area in Imphal west district of Manipur on Wednesday.
Sana was shot dead at around 10 AM while he was travelling from his house at Thanga area in Bishenpur district to party office here, sources said.
He died on the spot, sources said, adding that his body has been sent to Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital here for post mortem.
No individual or group has claimed responsibility, sources said, adding that motive behind the crime was not yet known.
