IMPHAL, April 29 – Preparations for the counting of general elections to Lok Sabha 2014 for Manipur’s two parliamentary constituencies – Inner and Outer seats are being made in the State. The counting will be held on May 16.

According to the Joint Chief Electoral Officer N Praveen, the counting for the two Lok Sabha seats will be conducted across 12 counting centres in the State.

The counting centres include all the nine district headquarters. The EVMs have been kept at the strong rooms at the district headquarters, reports said.

Meanwhile, the counting of votes in connection with the general elections to Lok Sabha for ten Assembly constituencies in Manipur’s Imphal East district will be held at three counting centres namely Porompat, Sawombung and Keirao Bitra, according to a notice issued by the DC Imphal East district M Joy Singh.

Counting for Kshetrigao, Thongju, Yaiskul, Wangkhei Assembly seats will be held at DIC Training Hall at Porompat from 8 am onwards.
