NIT Manipur opens admissions to PhD in Engineering Programmes open

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Manipur has invited applications for admissions to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering disciplines for the session 2014. Interested and eligible candidates can submit the online applications by April 17.

Eligibility criterion:
The candidates willing to apply are required to possess a Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum CPI equivalent to 60 per cent marks as per conversion formula prescribed by the university. Or the candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology with a CPI equivalent to 70 per cent marks as per conversion formula prescribed by the university.

Selection process:
The candidates will be selected on the basis of their overall academic performance. Also, a written test and interview will be conducted by the institute.

Weightage:
Academic performance: 70 per cent
Interview: 30 per cent

How to apply:
The candidates are required to download the application forms from the official website. The duly filled application forms are required to be accompanied with an application fee of Rs300 (In case of SC/ ST category, the fee is supposed to be Rs150). The fee is to be sent in the form of a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of Director NIT Manipur, payable at Imphal.
