All Manipur Road Transport Drivers' and Motor Workers' Union has urged Manipur government to intervene and seek safe release of four Manipuri drivers who were feared to be kidnapped at Assam on May 27 night last.
Two brothers, Soibam Khomei Singh (43) and Soibam Sanatomba Singh (26) sons of Iboyai Singh of Tekcham Maning Ching, Langpoklakpam Sarat Singh (38) of Keirak and Elangbam Romen Singh (30) of Irengban Kakching were allegedly abducted by unknown persons from Ambrajan, Assam on May 27 night.
They were all driving Assam trucks and were resting around SB Petrol Pump, Ambrajan , Karbi Anglong when they were taken away by armed persons. General Secretary of the organisation, Kullamani said memoranda had been submitted to Manipur Chief Minister, Dy Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, DGP and other officials to help in rescuing the four drivers.
