IMPHAL, Apr 1 : To protect the territorial integrity of Manipur and to keep it intact is what the people want, not to destroy it, said W Nipamacha who is going to contest the upcoming 15th Lok Sabha elections as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate at a political conference held today at Uripok.
He further said that the present government had failed to fulfill the wishes of the public. The people of Manipur were suffering day by day due to extortions, fake encounters and the highly corrupt government.
He also asserted that Dr. Meinya who is also contesting the upcoming election as a Congress candidate has not done anything for the betterment of Manipur during his last five years as MP.
He said he was shocked to know that when Mani Charenamei raised his voice that all the Naga people staying in the Manipur will be part of Nagaland under one administration, Dr. Meinya did not even defend the matter hurting the sentiments of the people.
Therefore, he asked the people of Manipur to analyse such people who were very much intent on breaking Manipur into pieces.
It is clear that Dr. Meinya is the person who helped bring the state to a dark phase.
The political conference was attended by S Tiken, general secretary of the BJP, N Ibohal, vice president of the BJP, L Raghumani, ex-president of the BJP, L Borbabu, president of the BJP, Sarda Devi, secretary of the Mahila Morcha and S Dhanajoy, ex-speaker as well as the functionaries of BJP.
