Planning Commission officials to visit Manipur

Imphal, Oct 22 : A team of the Planning Commission, led by one of its members from North-east BK Chaturvedi, is expected to arrive in Manipur on October 30 to review programmes taken up under Special Plan Assistance (SPA).

The team will inspect the works to protect Loktak lake at Bishenpur district, one of the biggest fresh water lakes of Asia, works undertaken at the international border trade area of Moreh and Capitol project, according to officials here today.

The team will also interact with senior state government officials in Imphal, they added.
