Imphal, Mar 27 : Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has sent congratulatory letters to Mary Kom and L Sarita for winning gold medals in the 51 kg and 60 kg categories respectively.
Mr Ibobi said he was extremely pleased to know that both have brought yet another laurel for our country and, more specifically, for the State of Manipur by winning the Gold medal at the 6th Asian Women Boxing Championship at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
It is another feather in their caps and reflection of their dominance in this sport, he said.
The chief minister added he was proud in conveying his heartfelt greetings and congratulations and expressed hope that they will maintain their winning streak in the years to come.
